10 Best Books of the Decade
I just realized today that I have been writing 2019 on all of my school papers for the past few weeks. For some reason my brain simply refuses to accept that is indeed a new year. But it is not just a new year, but a new decade. I was nine years old when 2010 began and I will be turning twenty soon. Obviously, a lot of the books I read at the start of the decade will not be included here (hello, cringey dystopian/vampire obsessed tween Erin). In fact, I am only including the best books that I read in the past ten years that were also released within the decade.

The Best Books of 2019
Every year seems to slip by even more quickly than the last, with this one having disappeared in the blink of an eye. Somehow I am a college sophomore and will be turning twenty years old in 2020. Maybe it's just because I have been watching so much Peaky Blinders lately, but I am definitely hoping for a roaring '20s repeat. I have a lot of good things awaiting me in this new year and new decade, including some fantastic books. But for now, let's talk about the nine best books I read in 2019.

The Best Books of 2018
Outside of my literature class this semester, I didn't manage to read as much as I would have liked this year. But then I remind myself that there are people who can't read any books at all in a year (the horror), and I feel a little better. 2018 was a big year for me. I graduated high school, moved out, and started college. However, I was able to sneak in some reading in between all of this (and all of the essays I wrote), and the books I read this year were almost entirely spectacular.
