Top Ten Tuesday: Quotes I Loved From Books I Read In The Past Year Or So

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.  I am quite particular about my quotes.  I hoard words and prefer to keep them close to my heart.  The quotes I choose don't always come from books and especially not from this year alone.  But here are the ones I could manage:

  1. Love three and four. A good writer uses words in a way that I think is harder than a painter chosing colors

    1. Well, there ARE more words than colors... It doesn't surprise me that you like the Neil Gaiman and George Orwell quotes the best! :)

  2. Erin I am still in hysterics about your new blog design omg so pretty! Ah, I love quotes. My problem is though that I read a quote I really like and then I forget it. I always say to myself that I will write them down one day but it hasn't happened yet XD. I haven't read any of the books you mentioned but I know that I really have to. Quote number three is my favourite, I think. Are fictions safe places? Should they be? That is going to be going around in my head for at least I week now! As a fellow hoarder of words I am interested to know - do you store your words on shelves in a Beauty and the Beast style library or are they kept in a massive pile like Smaug's treasure in The Hobbit? <3

    1. I am too and I am so glad you like it! And the quotes, too. I like adding the quotes on Goodreads and/or Pinterest so that I don't misplace them. And you really should read the books, but I couldn't tell you which one to start with! Although any Neil Gaiman, including Trigger Warning, is a good choice! (And I really don't think fictions should be safe places). And I do TRY to store my words on shelves, but they always seem to get EVERYWHERE... XD Thanks for commenting, Rebekah!
