Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish, and the theme this week is to list your top ten Top Ten Tuesday's that have been done in the past five years (in honor of five years of Top Ten Tuesdaying). Since I just started participating in Top Ten Tuesdays, I'm going to pick topics I wish I had been there to do!
1. Top Ten Most Unfortunate Character Names
With all of the high fantasy books I read that have numerous characters with unfortunate names, I would have a party with this.
2. Top Ten Bookish Things (that are NOT books) That I'd Like to Own
This would be a long list, my friend. Did you know that there are candles that smell like books? Or how about a Hogwarts cloak?
3. Top Ten Best/Worst Movie Adaptations
(Here you see poor Giles, who got roped into doing this sad little movie).
The Best: The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, etc.
The Worst: Percy Jackson, Percy Jackson, PERCY JACKSON.
4. Top Ten Characters I Would Crush on if I Were also a Fictional Character
Who ever said I'm NOT a fictional character, hmm? I could be Hedwig in disguise, you never know.
5. Top Ten Most Frustrating Characters EVER
Because I like complaining. If complaining were an Olympic Sport, I would win Gold, and then proceed to complain about it.
6. Top Ten Favorite Book Quotes
I don't know if I've ever mentioned this on here before, but I LOVE QUOTES. All the words.
7. Top Ten Favorite Covers
As much as we book lovers like to deny it, we DO JUDGE BOOKS BY THEIR COVERS. Enough said.
8. Top Ten Books I'd Give A Theme Song To
How fun would this have been? I mean, I could give books some seriously EPIC theme songs.
9. Top Ten Books I Wish I Could Read Again For The First Time
Basically all of my most beloved books. Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Divergent, Watership Down... THERE ARE SO MANY.
10. Top Ten Books I Had Strong Emotions Over
Let me just tell you, there are some books that I have extremely strong emotions about. Some that made me cry (Allegiant, anyone?), some that made me want to throw the book against the wall. Some that simply made me go:
Great post! There have been so many good Top Ten Tuesdays over the years and I love all the ones you've mentioned, especially the last one. I'm such a crier when it comes to books, and Allegiant left me in floods of tears. Have you read the Infernal Devices, because the last book in that trilogy ripped my heart out. Also, high five for sneaking Giles into this post. :P
